I believe that is what 2 Corinthians 1:4 – 6 is talking about. However I do not believe that God causes experience so that we learn something. I cannot believe that God causes an airplane to crash so that the families of all the souls lost can learn from the experience, or that people suffer from cancer or other diseases so that they can learn from the experience. I do believe that if we turn to God and calling his name he will help us through those experiences and we will learn so that we in turn can help direct others to his great love. Psalm 37:23 in the CEB says ” A person’s steps are made secure by the Lord when they delight in his way.” When I keep my eyes on Christ, and delight in him, I am open to allowing the spirit to use my experiences to strengthen my faith.
